    XBox Elite Series 2 Controller stopped working wirelessly


    My new controller worked perfectly with my Windows 10 PC for about 4 days. There were no issues. Then on day 5, it just completely stopped working wirelessly. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find, but I can't get it to stay connected for more than 5 seconds. When plugged in it is still fine, but I didn't spend $250 on a controller just to have it lose functionality. Is it possible my controller is faulty?

    Can you try pairing your elite controller with a different device? For example via Bluetooth with your phone and test it there
    This helps us to isolate a bit more the issue.

    If it works flawlessly with your phone, please try this:

    Reinstall your controller driver:
    Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager > search something like Xbox controller category (or similar) > expand the category using the little arrow (">") > select delete/uninstall driver

    Click OK, restart your PC and reconnect the controller.

    If the issue persists, reinstall Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator driver.

    You can do it following previous steps, but now select Plug and Play Software Device Enumerator.

    Can take a while, would be great to wait up to 15 minutes before trying again
