    Xbox Elite Series 2 controller no longer functions properly.


    As the subject describes, my controller no longer functions when connected to a wire. I am unable to play when connected or even able to charge it. It would seem like the issue is coming from the cord itself but any other device works just fine. And I seems it has to do with the controller itself. I do not know where I could take it for repair considering it occurred not too long after the expiration of the warranty. And I stuck with this issue because this is the only Xbox controller I own and unable to afford full price for another. Could I possible take this to Geek Squad or any retail store to find the issue and a fix for it?

    Elite 2 Controller Mapping Letdown

    Thanks for the reply. The Elite controller series 2 has various methods of mapping the buttons and paddles as compared to the series 1. If you haven't done so already, I recommend taking a look at the following support articles that
    can assist you in determining how to set up the different functions, including how to use Shift with the controller to give you alternate inputs:

    Xbox Elite Controller 2 will not connect VIA usb or Bluetooth to my pc

    The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

    Sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the current Xbox controllers, however, the question forum is the incorrect place to post your feedback. Unless you are asking about current Xbox controller advancements in-which case that would be the Xbox Elite Controller
