    Xbox elite series 2 controller left analog issues


    Im having issues with my Elite Series 2 controller. I pre-ordered it new, but I havent even used it much, and the left analog has issues if I press up on it or down and let go it takes ages for it to reset back to the default postition, and will even ghost
    from time to time. Im wondering if there is any fix someone has seen/done? I wouldnt mind sending it in, just the $100 for them to send me another that will probably have the same issue is really steep to me, since it wasnt even that long that I paid $200
    for the controller its self. After looking about this issue online it seem common, and I feel like microsoft should somehow help with this issue, since its so commonly happening.

    If you ask me, I would look for a stick replacement using a third party store like GameStop or your closest electronic repair shop.

    This is due to official repair from Microsoft is about $79 according to the official repair chart:

    But if you don’t mind about the price, go with the official repair

    Original Elite Controller Issues

    Thanks Kevin I just purchased the elite series 2 controller so I could send the old one in for repair and that has an immediate issue. The left analog stick is loose which is noticeable when clicking in.

    Little bit disappointed as I purchased the controller online as nowhere local has stock so another hassle to replace.

    Guess I'm just unlucky.

    Some of the design choices on the upcoming elite series 2 were made with the 360 controller in mind. The adjustable tension analog sticks will allow you to match the 360s tension for example.

    4 Controllers all the the exact same drifting issue within 1.5 years.

    i feel you on this issue. just under a year and i have 3 controllers with left analog stick issues. two of them have the drift issue and the most recent one is the elite controller that has a lot of play in it. with the tall ones on, the left stick has
    about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch of play before it actually starts to move. before i switched to xbox one i had a ps3 for 3+ years using the same controller and never one time had an issue with it. as of right now the elite one is being sent back to be "replaced"
    with a new one.
