Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller Keeps Asking to Update

Whenever I plug in my Elite Series 2 controller with the USB cable into my Xbox Series X or PC the Xbox Accessories app advises "update required" I click update and it proceeds and it applies the update to 100%, click next and it still says update required.. this appears to be endless and I can tell it to update again and again, each time it appears to be successfull and it will keep popping up every time I plug the controller in.

I have tried different cables, 2 xboxes, PC and they all have the same issue. Restarting the console does not help.

Sorry to hear you are unsatisfied with the current Xbox controllers, however, the question forum is the incorrect place to post your feedback. Unless you are asking about current Xbox controller advancements in-which case that would be the Xbox Elite Controller

Sorry to hear about the issue. I just want to confirm if your controller performs correctly if used wirelessly?

If possible, try to revert your controller's update to its previous version. Check the link below for the guide. Let me know if it will let your revert it.

There was a new update released, can you try updating your Elite Series 2 controller again?

I also have the Elite Series 2 controller and I do not run into these issues when using it with the PC.

Hi,

I try to connect my Xbox Elite wireless controller series 2 via bluetooth on my Ipad Pro 11 inch 2018, but it can't make connection or won't be recognized. The series 2 controller supports bluetooth. I can make connection with the other older version Xbox
One S wireless controller immediately.

I'd make a phone call with Apple support and they said that maybe the problem could be that the Xbox Elite controller series 2 won't be supported and isn't compatible with Ipad.

I want to know guys if you had the same problem and I want to ask if there will be an update in the future to solve this problem?

At the moment the series 2 elite controller is not compatible with Iphones/Ipads. At the moment the only device that the series 2 controller is available on IOS side is the Mac and even that it's janky. Series 2 controller works fine on Android at the moment.
