Xbox Elite paddle does not map to D-Pad Right, keeps switching the screen

Hello All,

Looking for assitance with the Xbox Accessories app button mapping with an Elite Controller. When I attempt to hold and map a paddle to the D-pad Right button, it goes to the next tab which is "Left Stick" . All other buttons work but when you map a button it
highlights the top tabs and the right button just goes to the next tab. I do see community configurations with this button mapped so it seems to have worked at some point. Any help would be appreciated.

Purchasing replacement parts?

Xbox / Microsoft does not sell any component parts for the controllers. Only the removable tops for the joysticks and d-pad cover and the paddles too

 

Xbox 1 elite controller

I have just purchased an Xbox 1 elite controller. Does anyone know if you can re-map the four underneath paddles

 

I had this problem too! The solution is not to hold the paddle to remap it, but to select the paddle in the top drop-down menu directly below where it says 'Choose a button to map. Or press and hold a button'. Then you select the button you want to send
(i.e. d-pad right) in the lower drop-down.
