Xbox Elite Controller

I purchased an elite controller about 5 months ago and I'm already having major issues with it. 1st this rubber backing started peeling off. A $150 controller shouldn't do that but it doesn't conflict with gameplay to much. Then the bumpers broke. I called
Microsoft to see what they would do about it and all they said they could do was for me to pay to ship the defective controller to them. After they receive it they would send me a new controller within 30 days. They told me there is only a 90 day warranty
on this controller. The person I was chatting with from Microsoft went on to tell me she knows how upsetting it is to have to pay to ship the controller back and have to wait so long for a new one. She also stated that she personally knows many people with
the same issues (I as well know several people with these issues). If this is that big of a problem with this product why isn't Microsoft doing anything about it. They could extend the warranty on these issues and change the product to not have these issues.
Do they care? NO! They don't. They continue to sell the same piece of garbage controller and when they break. Oh well. It's the consumers problem.

Once again Microsoft is sticking it to all their customers and don't care. Think it may be time to go to Sony.

No point saying i should go to sony, their controllers are just as bad if not worse for falling apart, i have an elite controller, had it for over a year and a half, play daily and still going strong with no problems at all, i would take it back to where
you purchased it.

 

sry farscape, the retail places are even worse. Its a 30 day warranty and thats only because they have to by law. The elite controller is junk for the most part and Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves. $150 controller? And
it breaks inside 6 months for the majority of elite owners?? And you could buy an xbox one S over the holidays for $200??? An ENTIRE game system for a few bucks more illustrates that its no small amount of money here. So how come my console is EXPECTED to
work more than 6 months but the elite isnt? I absolutely LOVED the elite controller for the awesome things you can do. But it wears out so fast you can count the gameplay in hours before something breaks just from normal use. Shame on Microsoft. Im with you
on that farscape. Its definitely worth lookininto sony because they have the best games already and now with the elite controller not worth re purchasing im going to be looking to see if a change is a good idea. and thats sad.

 

i’m in the same situation right here it’s just a disgrace coming from makers of the company (Microsoft) that is looking to be on the up I’m pretty sure no one reads these messages because something would’ve been done A while back

 

Same issue over and over. I ended up replacing it by myself every 3-4 weeks, because the left bumper broke one after another. Not everyone will have that issue, just because not everyone is using the bumpers as frequently as others. I play Rocket League and
i have air roll on the left bumper. Everytime I jump, I press multiple times lb to rotate, either to freestyle or just to correct the trajectory. 3 friends of mine also have the elite controller and all of them are having the same issue.

Another problem with the controller is, that the left analog stick has a tendency to get stuck or more that it hangs in one direction. One of my controllers has it since the day i bought it and another one got it after a year.
