Xbox Elite Controller Version 2 Repair

I got the elite version 2 controller almost as soon as it came out, i wasn’t playing a whole lot because I was in school, and even with just light usage after less than 2 months both bumpers were double or triple clicking. After some hassle with the microsoft
store near my house i got a replacement. I bought a pc, and didn’t use my controller again for a while and just recently started using and now again the bumpers are sticking after little to no use. Has anyone else had insane problems with the version 2 of
elite? And now the microsoft store by my house is closed because of covid so i can’t get a replacement, and if i want to mail it in for repair, the shipping times are insane right now, both ways. Anyone have any tips to try and make the bumpers work until
the store near my house opens ?

that happened to me, but with the elite controller version 1 and some other controllers, and it was the same, i don't used them too often and if i try to play with them some buttons will double or tiple click, and I realized that's because the place where
i stored them, and once in a while i started lo clean them using a wet tissue, that solved my problem

Firmware version 517.3202.0 is the latest firmware version available for the Elite Series 2 controller. So your controller has the latest firmware available.

Don't forget the Elite Series controllers use a different firmware than the other controllers, because it has different features to the standard controllers.

My Elite version 2 controller has never disconnected but the internal battery will NOT charge. It is a brick unless it is plugged in with the USB wire or sitting on the charging dock. when plugged in or on charging dock the white LED light blinks but never
goes to a solid light even after 10 hours sitting on the charge dock. I've never seen the LED light go to color "amber" to signify it has a low battery. 180$ for a wired controller less than 8 months old.

I contacted support they told me it would bee 100$ to REPAIR!! because my 90 day warranty was up lol. 90 days for a controller they say "should last a lifetime".....

oh and option #2 they sent me a link to buy an Xbox "play and charge kit" ...lol for an Elite Series 2. The Elite Series 2 that has an INTERNAL BATTERY!

I am beyond pissed off and I get everyone's frustrations on this thread. This is all after going through 4 series 1 elite controllers.

To me it's absolutely UNACCEPTABLE that Microsoft wont at the least repair these controllers that are defective. Not broken but defective. And I mean repair for free or shipping charge ONLY.

I tried to fill out repair order, but, as mentioned above, those are the only options i got.

Bumper IS a known issue, as you can see.

Btw., it doenst matter what caused 2 years warranty, it is in place and i'm in the right to use it.
