    Xbox elite controller v2 game bar opening when pressing A


    Hi

    By default in the xbox game bar settings on windows 10 i have my game bar button set to the centre button however when i have my controller connected via bluetooth pressing the A button also brings up the game bar which is problematic when using the A button in a game . When i have connected with cord i do not have this problem only bluetooth. I have tried looking through all the settings on game bar and game bar settings in windows .. Any ideas what the problem could be ?

    also just to note i do not have this problem with my standard xbox controllers only my recently purchased elite.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    P.s. i already try the fix on this thread https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ndows-10/a87fd272-34b5-45e4-8fb2-0bf69d505e12 and my controller have no pending update.

    Sadly I already try to remap / reset the button in the xbox accesory app with the remote connected with the cord. It did not fix the issue. As soon as i reconnect the controller via bluetooth the issue come back.

    Connect the controller via USB to your PC and you can remap the buttons in the App.

    Go to Start < Xbox Game Bar < [Right click] < More < App Settings < Reset

    There are 2 fixes for this issue. The first is to update the controller firmware with an Xbox console. If you don't have an Xbox, then the second is to completely disable the "Open Xbox Game Bar using this button on a controller" and only use the keyboard shortcut to access that menu.

    I found that to prevent the screen shots from happening in steam you need to update steam to have drivers for the elite controller.

    I did this first by participating in steam betas, entering big picture mode and checking elite controller drivers.

    This however did not stop the game bar from appearing when pressing A button if the game bar is enabled
