Xbox Elite controller thumbstick doesn't work right

If you have an Elite controller you can map the right thumbstick how you like it.

I got these for my Elite Series 1 controller. Scuf Gaming Elite Precision Thumbsticks and Pro Grip Handles Only for Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller. They work great.

The grip of my controller is wearing off, the A button spring doesn't seem to work right and my left turn is much slower than my right turn on my right thumbstick.

I'm not rough with the controller at all. I have never once thrown it.

What kind of controller are you using? And how old is it?

Or was it the same problem with both and were they actually new?

I had the very same problem in a used Xbox elite controller I bought. Except that was only on the right thumbstick. On the left thumbstick it moved by itself, in other words it couldn't get to the "zero" zone. It was supposed to only be lightly used and
it looked alright on the outside, but the thumbstick felt like someone had spillt some liquid into it or something.

Needless to say I returned it.
