Xbox Elite Controller Stiff Analog Sticks

Okay so I received my Xbox Elite Controller in the mail about a week ago and since receiving it I have had an awful time adjusting. I've noticed, at least in my case, that the thumbsticks on the Elite Controller are drastically stiffer than the default Xbox
One controller and this is seriously affecting my aim and accuracy in basically every single game I play. And because of this I'm on the verge of asking for a refund.

I'm trying to figure out if this is actually an issue with the controller or if I'm just struggling to get used to the more amount of force I need to apply on the thumbsticks to execute certain actions or if I simply need to play with the controller more.

One thing that kind of bugs me though is that, before switching to a default controller while waiting for this new Elite controller to arrive, I was playing on the Scuf Elite controller (which is essentially the same controller but with Scuf paddles). This
Scuf elite controller was far less stiff than the current Elite controller I now have, which is why I'm questioning whether or not it's an issue with controller considering how the two controllers are nearly identical. I could be remembering that wrong since
I bought the Scuf Elite 9 months ago, but I'm pretty sure the tension in the thumbsticks was exactly the same from the time of my purchase up until it broke and I had to switch over to a default controller for a short period of time. I'm also not sure if Scuf
does something different with their Scuf Elite controllers compared to the normal Elite controllers.

If anyone has any idea what's going on or has a similar issue, your help would be greatly appreciated!

I remember when I got my elite controller it took some time to adjust to but I don't remember the sticks being so stiff that it impacted play. You could do a refund through the retailer you purchased the controller through if you don't like the controller.

I've had issues with the analog sticks on my elite controller after a year of use. They should extend the warranty or something because this issue is common and linked to the crappy analog sticks they put in there controllers.

it's mainly that I'm used to the ps3 controller since its IMO lose analog wise and my Xbox analogs feel really stiff

I've done that as well. It's the controller I had back in 2006, still working just find. My akita even had a chew on it. It's rather quite weird to use a newer controller, with the bumps on the analog stick, and how stiff they are.

Never had to buy another controller.
