Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 - SHIFT Function

Hello,

I am considering buying an Elite Controller Series 2 for my Xbox. Now I would have one question about functionality of SHIFT, which can be assigned to paddles.

For example I will play Forza Horizon and I will set "Change radio station" function to button B. OK, so button B works as "Change radio station"....

But if I set SHIFT + B to one of the paddles...what will happen? Will I get a completely new button with a possibility to set a completely new function? Or the paddle will only start behave as B button, so the paddle and the B button will have the same functionality?

Forza Horizon has more functionalities and some of them are unassigned, because controllers does not have all the buttons, so I would like to use SHIFT to get more button inputs, so I can use more functions.

Thanks for the reply. The Elite controller series 2 has various methods of mapping the buttons and paddles as compared to the series 1. If you haven't done so already, I recommend taking a look at the following support articles that
can assist you in determining how to set up the different functions, including how to use Shift with the controller to give you alternate inputs:

I think it's uses could be good for some but I have a chatpad so I'll stick to my paddles being the face buttons.

I'm not 100% sure on this, as I haven't actually tried it my self yet, but perhaps you can set up multiple buttons to use the shift feature, so for example, whilst holding the 'Shift key' the direction buttons on the 'D-Pad' act as 'A', 'B', 'X', and 'Y'
or what ever you choose, again I haven't checked this my self.
