Xbox elite controller series 2 built in battery

My controller doesn't take batteries it's the elite series 2 it has a built in rechargeable battery pack

i believe tht the series x is coming with an elite controller in th package and it will be usb type c and an in built battery

Since the Elite Series 2 has the battery built in, then you cannot change them. If the controller is constantly disconnecting, and you have no issues with your other controllers, then you are better off taking it back and either get a replacement or money
back.

I'm not sure a built in battery is a good idea since, like you said, is not reducing the form factor and limits the total life if the controller. Plus when the battery dies you'll have to recharge it, and depending on how far you are from the console
you may need am extra long charging cable, making it essentially a wired controller.

I really look forward to at least feeling it in my hands and the new functions sound awesome. I do hope we can use or own AA batteries cause if we’re forced into using nothing but the built-in lithium battery then that is a big worry for me.
