Xbox Elite Controller replacement not functioning

Hi,

I have been trying for ages to contact support about my Elite controller that was recently replaced. The replacement works fine except for the fact that I can't use a headset with it. I've tried my headset with 3 other controllers, and it works just fine.
I have SCOURED the support page for help that didn't involve speaking to an 'Xbox Gamer' who are of no help to any man or beast, or posting on the forums. As you can see, I've had to post on the forums because the support site offers absolutely no way to speak
to someone from Microsoft to get things done anymore. Please. PLEASE someone help me out, I refuse to sit here and deal with a broken replacement.

Hello There,

When you go to request a call back try using your number or a friend or family member this is the only way to get to speak with someone unfortunately.

When you go to
Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see more options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options
Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

As expected, restarting my Xbox doesn't fix my controller

I cannot contact Xbox Support because it is not helpful. I can't get to talk to anyone, when I try to get them to call me, it doesn't recognise my mobile OR landline number. There is no way the Xbox Support site can help me because I need to actually speak
to someone.

{Parity}

First, make sure the controller is fully updated with the headset connected. Perform a hard reset EXACT like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of
the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
