xbox elite controller problems

hi there to everyone i have an issue and wonder if someone might be able to send me in the right direction because xbox support are pretty much useless here is my query

i have an xbox elite controller i purchased last year from america it cost me over £150 as i got stung for import tax as well but no one in the uk had one so i bought it after a couple of months the left hand rubber grips are peeling away from the plastic
surround so i contacted xbox support they told me that i would have to send it back to them even tho the part i needed just clips on and off so i sent it back to them for them to tell me 3 weeks later that they had not received it so this caused a major issue
as they told me they wouldn't do anything without proof of sending so i bought a PS4 and chucked the xbox in the closet anyway a few weeks later the controller came back to me un repaired and i still to this day don't know who sent it back to me i have just
purchase forza 7 and the cod game £180 because i wanted to play them and then i get out my controller and remember its still not fixed so i tweeted xbox support and they sent me a link to ring someone 55 minutes on the phone and the guy tells me i can sort
this out for you i will send you an email with your options one of them being send it back to xbox guess what no email so I've now contacted xbox support again on twitter and nothing my annoyance is im not even bothered about buying the part as its over 15
months old now so I'm sure its probably not even in warranty but not one person at xbox can help me with this problem i just want to get this new part and carry on playing and the worst thing is they don't even take this as a serious complaint ?????

And no problems.

Bought an Xbox 360 controller mostly every year because of thumbsticks deadzone problems.

So for me,the choice is easy.
