Xbox elite controller parts

I have an Elite controller that has had a buggy left thumbstick since about 6 months after I got it.

I've been able to open it at fix most of the issue. But while I'd resolved most of the problem (the piece the removable thumbsticks attach to was so loose you could pull it right off with almost no force), it still drifts an unacceptable amount. The right
thumbstick is absolutely fine.

Nothing else on the controller is an issue. It's been overall solid other than this one thumbstick issue.

I have no qualms opening it up, I've dealt with hardware plenty of times before. Is there a way to get a replacement for this module so I can finally get rid of this singular remaining issue? I don't mean just the swappable parts. I mean the entire thumbstick
assembly itself.

I could just look for broken elite controllers on ebay or something, but that risks getting one (or more) that have the same issue mine has (or worse). I'd like to just get a fresh and guaranteed working part.

Elite Controller Parts

Recently my right bumper broke and is not attached anymore. I know what the problems is and how to fix it. however, after many hours searching Amazon for replacement parts, I have found None that are matching. I would like to get the same brushed aluminum
looking bumpers as the controller originally had. Does anyone know where I could get original color matching replacement parts? (Also want to point out that my controller is not under warentee so service is not an option)

Xbox/Microsoft does not have any user replaceable parts for the controller that you can buy for the bumpers.

There's no repair option for any of the accessories like the controller only replacement.

The only items that they'd sell would be the for the elite controller thumbsticks/dpad/paddles

You can contact Xbox Support and confirm that information at 800-469-9269 and ask if they might be able to do an exchange for you on the controller, where you might be able to send it into them.

They give me no options there other than buying replacement parts for the swappable components (thumbsticks, paddles, d pad). Nothing about repair of the unit itself or replacement parts for the internals.

 

Self repair is considered a violation and could possibly end up with an enforcement action.

 

When they don't even give me an option of paying to send it in for a repair, I would like to know what option would then be left other than trying to fix it myself.

I'm not going to toss such an expensive controller in the trash when the issue is simple to repair if I can simply get the part to do so.
