Xbox Elite Controller Paddle Binding Support?

Hey, I ordered a Xbox Elite controller, primarily because I was interested in it having the extra paddles and hoping i could rebind them on the computer to play some specific games.

But when I plug it into the PC, the 4 paddles are only able to function as ABXY again.

I'm hoping that support for this badly needed feature is coming, but if it's not anywhere in sight, I might want to return the controller.

Hello,

There needs to be an update for elite controller button mapping to allow direct binding of paddles, instead of having to bind them to the existing standard buttons.

How to Lock the Paddles on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller

If you're putting your controller down to rest, you may want to lock your paddles to avoid accidentally pressing them. Simply double-tap the green Wireless Bind button. Your controller motors will vibrate a few times to confirm. To unlock the paddles, double-tap the Wireless Bind button again. It will vibrate once to confirm.

I think it'd be nice if they added the rubberized grip to every standard controller. If they added the paddles that would allow different input binding, it'd kinda negate their marketing for the Elite Controller V2.

To be very, very clear, the problem is that the newest firmware updates to Xbox elite 2 controller has broken the functionality of the paddles. As of the latest firmware, the paddles are completely disabled when in default profile. The paddles used to work in default mode, and now they don't. Steam can corroborate this: last year Steam added functionality to customize the outputs of the elite controllers paddles, which means that the paddles used to output a unique signal instead on only emulating other controller buttons.

A quick internet search reveals numerous accounts from users who had used steam to customize the paddle outputs, proving that the paddles used to work. You can also see a growing number of recent complaints from Elite controller users who are realizing that their paddle inputs are now broken. This is not an isolated occurrence, the elite controller was broken by the latest firmware updates, and people are realizing it.

The changes made to the Xbox elite 2 Controller paddles in the latest firmware updates NEED TO BE REVERTED.

Have you tried checking if the paddles were locked? Try pressing the Pair button ((( twice. The controller will vibrate to confirm the unlock/lock. I can confirm that the Xbox Elite 2 controller has issues with conducting electricity through the paddles.

I am getting shocked as well.

The Xbox Elite 2 controller needs to be recalled immediately.
