    Xbox elite controller not connecting to PC.


    My Xbox Elite controller wont connect to my PC, no matter what I try. Every time I try to connect my controller it hits me with the "please reconnect controller" message. I have tried everything under the sun to fix this issue but it just wont go away. Its gotten to the point were I have tried everything on Microsoft's website to fix this, and still it wont connect. I am at my wits end with this issue and I'm about to give up. If anyone has a potential fix for this issue your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Have you by any chance attempted to connect the controller directly to the PC through a wired connection?

    As well, you have mentioned that the controller that came with the Xbox One console is recognized on the PC, but that the elite controller is not recognized at all on the PC. This same elite controller, does it have any issues with connecting to the Xbox
    One console?

    i know this is his question but he said elite controller to a adapter not a regular xbox one controller on the link it says how to connect adapter from pc to xbox one controller he needs a elite controller adapter because all he is finding is regular xbox
    one adapters to pc which he stated do not work for his elite controller

    Hi Neecko92,

    Seems like the only workaround now is to connect your Elite controller to a Xbox One console, and update your Elite controller via the Xbox One console. Then it will work on your PC again.

    Hi Thomas,

    Unfortunately the Xbox Elite Wireless controller is not Bluetooth capable. Only the current Xbox One Wireless controllers have Bluetooth technology and they can only connect to Windows 10 PC's. The Xbox Elite controller will need an Xbox Wireless Adapter
    in order to connect to the PC wireless. Xbox One controllers cannot currently connect to mobile phones in any way unfortunately.

    Apologies for the inconvenience but I'm sure Microsoft will include Bluetooth technology in the next iteration of the Elite controller sometime in the near future and possible make a way to connect to mobile phones. Maybe you can post this idea over on
    Xbox Ideas to get this seen by the right people.
