Xbox Elite Controller Microphone not working

Hi,

updated, 14 months old, microphone port suddenly does not work. Works with adapter though. What to do?

Unfortunately, it is out of warranty and there are no repair options for controllers out of warranty. It is best to continue using the adapter.

I understand that your 14 month old Xbox Elite Controller microphone port is not working properly but luckily is working

with an adaptor. I'm glad it's working with an adaptor for you. Do you have an extra controller that you can test the microphone with?

If you're able to confirm that the issue is with the 3.5 jack on your controller, I would suggest contacting an Xbox Customer Support Live

agent by following the steps below to see what your warranty options are if your controller still qualifies.

The microphone is muted, not the headset.

The headset and microphone works on another xbox and controller.

I have tried it on 2 controllers on the bone that is muted.

try to use the microphone with a mobile phone to verify what is the microphone, if it works it may be the control input that does not work
