    Xbox Elite Controller hardware fault - Replacement process in Australia


    Hi there,

    I purchased an Xbox Elite Controller from EB Games in Australia. Unfortunately, there is an issue with the menu button and it is eligible for a warranty replacement, however there is
    no stock anywhere in Australia through EB Games.

    I have searched the support site and it seems that the controller replacement scheme is only available to people in the USA - how does one get a replacement controller in Australia?

    Sadly I did that - they're out of stock and because the controller has been discontinued, they aren't going to re-stock.

    I found one place about 150km from me that had one, and I asked for a transfer, but they denied that also.

    I managed to get in touch with Microsoft though, so hopefully they can sort something out.

    Anybody else going through controllers?

    My day One controller was problem free until a few months ago when I dropped it hard on one of the bumpers, my fault nothing to do with the controller. Replacement new controller was a sturdier build and was working perfectly. Had to replace console
    so got an Elite model with the Elite controller and I can confirm it is Elite.

    NOTE: Xbox Accessories (controllers, elite controllers, headsets and so on just have a 90 day warranty in the US)

    Xbox Support might be able to help but that $150 controller just has a 90 day warranty.
    Here in Australia The Elite Controller was covered by my Elite Consoles Warranty. I have already sent it in to be replaced twice (stupid rubber grips expanding).

    If https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/devices was still working as it's supposed to It would be being replaced for a third time right now.
