Xbox Elite controller game bar windows 10

Hi

By default in the xbox game bar settings on windows 10 i have my game bar button set to the centre button however when i have my controller connected via bluetooth pressing the A button also brings up the game bar which is problematic when using the A button
in a game . When i have connected with cord i do not have this problem only bluetooth. I have tried looking through all the settings on game bar and game bar settings in windows .. Any ideas what the problem could be ?

also just to note i do not have this problem with my standard xbox controllers only my recently purchased elite.

downloaded the xbox accessories app from the microsoft store and did an update on the controller seems to have fixed the problem.

the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

Strange not having any updates, anyway check if by disabling the Xbox game bar the problem stops happening, for that follow the instructions below, please.

Go to Windows Settings

Games

Xbox Game Bar

Deactivate it

Uncheck the box to open the Xbox game bar with the Xbox button on the controller as well.

If the problem persists, use a cable to plug the controller into your PC, open the accessories application and restore your elite controller settings to defaults, restart your PC and see if the problem persists.
