XBOX Elite controller Extra keys

Hi I am from Germany.

I have bought the XBOX ELite controller. It is one of the best I have ever owned.

My Question is : The Extra Paddle Keys P1 P2 P3 P4 why are these keys only change able with the other keys X Y A B etc.. ?

I am playing Elite Dangerous and I thought when I buy this Controller I will have more optionsto configure these P1 P2 P3 P4 with extra keys like a ROCCAT Mouse with 12 buttons..

I can only configure with the XBOX App that P1 is Button A or P2 is Button X or so.

This is complete useless !! The controller did cost over 130 euros and this is not worth it when these extra Buttons P1 P2 P3 P4 can not be configured as new buttons like CTRL + 1 or so..

Is there any other way I can do that with a other app for windows 10 ?

If not I will send this controller back to reseller and want refund for my money.. its not worth it then.. Also the WIFI dongle did cost 25 euros extra !!!

Can anyone help ?

You can only customize as the app allows. It offers a lot of functionality, but just not what you are looking for

It was not designed to be programmed that way. You will have to use the app and program the way the app allows.

I am very disapointed..

To bind the extra keys with new keys of a game is the reason why I did buy this XBOX One Elite Controller..

I did send it back and I got refund.. To expensive for no new functions !!!

As people have said, it is not designed to do the extra keys. I guess at the end of the day they did not want to give people the option to exploit the re mappable buttons.

The controller is only designed to have controller functions remapped to the paddles. For instance I remapped left stick down to the left front paddle and same with right stick down. I never have to push down on a stick while also doing something. I
do not believe there is every any mention of mapping function that are not done on the controller to the paddles/buttons. You can have two different mappings and switch between them with a switch if you for instance want one mapping for regular flight and
a different mapping for landing etc.
