Xbox Elite Controller analog stick issues (could they fix them?)

I've had the new series 2 controller for a while now and have noticed when playing games that are in third person or side scrollers, that when I would be moving with the left stick and then let go, it would snap back to the center resting position. But right
before it stops moving it moves past the resting position in the opposite direction and turns my character in the other direction where I was facing.

This causes many problem for games like Terraria, Dark Souls, Sekiro, ect... there would be times I run up to attack an enemy and the moment I let go of the left stick it spins me around causing me to miss. This also makes it harder to make accurate slight
adjustments by flicking either analog sticks. my old Xbox controllers never did this because the analog stick where made of cheap lightweight plastic (it didn't have enough inertia to cause this problem).

There is only one way I can see this being resolved (and I want this to be resolved). the trigger systems on the controller have dead zones, so why not add dead zones to the analog sticks. this could be an area radius chosen anywhere from 1%-100% (like the
left and right triggers). If they could make the left stick not respond to slight movements past the resting position, then this could prevent this issue and prevent stick drift and possibly many other issues.

Does anyone know if this is a possible feature they could add?

And does anyone know if there is a place to add suggestions for the Xbox Accessories app (I would like them to at least consider these ideas)?
