Xbox elite controller 2 connection errors

A couple of days ago my Xbox Elite Controller 2 didn´t respond when I tried to turn it on pressing the Xbox button.

After connecting the USB cable it turned on and I was able to use it without the cable for a couple of hours.

From then on the controller does not respond to the Xbox button being pressed and only turns on when the USB cable is connected.

However, with the USB cable connected the Xbox button works fine.

Without the USB cable connected, when I press the Xbox button the controller turns off.

Also, while playing without the USB cable connected, the controller resets every couple of minutes, randomly. I can play, all the buttons works fine (except the Xbox button) but from time to time the controller restarts, (it disconnects from the Xbox, the led starts blinking and the it connects again).

I tried reverting the last firmware update, power cycle it connected to the console, nothing works.

Is there anything else I can try to fix it?

This controller does not support xCloud. These are the controllers you can use.

I have the same issue:

* the plain Xbox controller (non elite) connects via bluetooth to the TV and is recognised by the Xbox cloud app on my Samsung TV. I can use it to play games using the Samsung Xbox app.

* the brand new Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects via bluetooth to the TV and is NOT recognised by the Xbox cloud app.

I tried several attempts deleting the pairing, re-pairing. Turn off TV on the power switch. Re-installing the Xbox app on the Samsung TV.

The result is always the same:

* The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller connects successfully to the TV and is shown as Paired and Connected in the Samsung TVs feature where you add external devices.
* But the Xbox app shows the yellow ! exclamation mark and does not recognise the Elite Controller.

I’ve paired my other non Elite standard Xbox controller now vie Bluetooth and USB, which works both.

2. Which version of Windows are you using?

3. Are you trying to connect an Xbox One Elite Wireless controller?

Please, reset your controller pairing.

To unpair it, press and hold the pair button on top of the controller for a few seconds until it vibrates twice.

Then, pair it again.

Turn on your controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button.

Press and release the Pair button on the Xbox.

Within 20 seconds, press and hold the controller’s Pair button a circular button on top of the controller as you hold it in your hands) until the controller's Xbox button flashes a few times.

That means it's searching for a console.

The Xbox button stays lit once it's connected.

Hi,

I try to connect my Xbox Elite wireless controller series 2 via bluetooth on my Ipad Pro 11 inch 2018, but it can't make connection or won't be recognized. The series 2 controller supports bluetooth. I can make connection with the other older version Xbox
One S wireless controller immediately.

I'd make a phone call with Apple support and they said that maybe the problem could be that the Xbox Elite controller series 2 won't be supported and isn't compatible with Ipad.

I want to know guys if you had the same problem and I want to ask if there will be an update in the future to solve this problem?

At the moment the series 2 elite controller is not compatible with Iphones/Ipads. At the moment the only device that the series 2 controller is available on IOS side is the Mac and even that it's janky. Series 2 controller works fine on Android at the moment.
Sorry if this doesn't help you, I myself is waiting for the Bluetooth proprietary to be added to the IOS list
