Xbox Elite: Bumper Switch is dug into the controller

I dropped my controller while playing a game. Before, everything was fine when it got dropped. That didn't seem to be the case today, as when I tried to fire my weapon, I was met with the right bumper not going down all the way. I inspect the controller
to find that the left switch to control the Left Trigger's pull or "throw" is stuck, dug in deep into the controller. I try to pull it out to no avail. Is there a manual fix for this, and if there isn't, are there other solutions?

Custom button layout

I read a bit into the controller made by Razer, it has 4 customisable buttons (2 on the back and 2 in between the bumpers)

On the Xbox Elite controller you can change all buttons so if you want your bumper to be the A button you can do that, and still have 4 extra buttons on the back. In the end it all comes down to which you prefer. The Xbox Elite controller is heavier because
it has steel components. The Razer Wildcat is lighter and has different features.

Hello GamedCobra,

I had a similar thing happened to me, But, I have the Lunar White controller. Unknown to me the right bumper broke and when I pressed down on it, it became stuck. I was able to tease it out with a very small screwdriver, but the right bumper was clearly
broken at the pivot point. The actual button inside the controller was still working. The best place I have found on DIY repairs of Xbox One controllers is at ifixit.com . They even have a small number of replacement parts. However, I was unable to find a replacement
right bumper from them or Microsoft. Indeed, it's my understanding that as far as Microsoft is concerned, there are no user serviceable parts in the Xbox and or its accessories. So, in my case, as it turned out, I had an extended warranty on my Lunar White
controller, and I was able to get a replace. Now, I know that this may not work for you, but maybe ifixit.com can give you some ideas.

The bumpers on my launch day Series 1 Elite Controller finally broke a few months ago. Was disappointed that an otherwise perfectly functioning controller (never had the grip issue with mine) was rendered useless because of the poor design of the bumpers.
All the development that went into the Elite and no effort was made to improve this inherent weakness in all Xbox One controllers. I repaired it myself with a replacement bumper from ebay. Never had bumper issues with any of my 360 controllers.

It is not possible to purchase bumpers for the elite controller directly from Microsoft, If the bumpers of your elite controller require replacing the controller would need to be sent to
Microsoft repair centre for this.

Used elite first gen for years and just got good at replacing broken bumpers. I had high hopes for the elite 2 but sadly my elite 2 right bumper clicks but doesnt register input most of the time after only 2 months.

submitted warranty claim, and will have them replace it - but even though i prefer the feel of the sticks and triggers on the msft controller, i am switching to razor wolverine.

not matter how good it feels if a contoller doesnt control, its worthless.
