Xbox elite 2 won't connect to pc

Sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting your Elite Wireless Series 2 controller to your PC. Does this happen with Bluetooth, or with the USB as well?

First, make sure your PC has all the latest mandatory and optional updates.

Win11: Start > Settings > Windows Update.

Win10: Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update

I also suggest making sure your drivers are up to date. You can use this link to learn how to update your drivers: Update drivers in Windows (microsoft.com)

Update your controller on a Windows 10 PC by using the Xbox Accessories app:

1. If you don’t already have the app installed, get it in the: Microsoft Store
   
2. Open the Xbox Accessories app.
   
3. Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller by using a USB cable or the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows.
   
   Note You'll be prompted to update to Windows 10 Anniversary Edition if you haven't yet done so.
   
4. When the controller is connected, you'll see the message Update Required if an update is mandatory. Install the update.
   

Things to keep in mind

• The Xbox Accessories app is available only on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  
• Updating the controller over Bluetooth is not supported.

I'm having the exact same issue. Using the latest drivers for Win11, updated firmware on controller via Xbox Accessories app.

Whenever I turn the controller on, the Xbox logo just blinks about once per second. When I try to pair via Bluetooth in Win11 settings (after holding the pair button on the controller so that the Xbox logo blinks rapidly), I get an error that says: No response from device.

Can anyone else help out here?

This didn't work. The computer was already up-to-date and the controller firmware was also the most recent. I even forced it to rerun the update cycle on the controller.

The issue for me didn't occur until I was using it wirelessly and then plugged it in via USB to keep playing due to a low battery. Since then, the Bluetooth connection didn't work even though it shows as a paired device in Devices.

What ended up working was removing Xbox Elite Wireless Controller from my paired inputs and then pairing the newly discovered Xbox Wireless Controller.

After, this problem, I took the controller back to the sho and purchased the elite 2 controller and still have the same problems.

I have a PC my Son has an Xbox.

Are you suggesting that I connect to that first then disconnect then try on the PC.

Can I ask why you don't just update Xbox accessories so it puts everything right.

I will try what you have suggested but I can't understand why a massive company like yours won't put things right correctly.

I've also noticed it connects as the 360 controller in the drivers section and won't find any other drivers.

Also I can't seem to update the elite controller 2 on Xbox ACCESSORIES.

• If the controller won't connect via USB, try connecting it to your PC via Bluetooth. To do this, press and hold the Pair button on the back of the controller for 3 seconds, then release it. The Xbox button on the controller should start flashing slowly, indicating that it's in pairing mode. On your PC, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, then click "Add Bluetooth or other device". Select "Bluetooth" and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the controller.
  
  
  
• If the controller still won't connect via Bluetooth, try resetting the controller and your PC. To reset the controller, press and hold the Pair button on the back of the controller for 20 seconds, then release it. To reset your PC, go to Start > Power > Restart.
  

If none of these steps work, please try updating the firmware on your controller. You can do this using the Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox console. Connect your controller to your console using a USB cable, then open the Xbox Accessories app. Select your controller, then select "Device info". If a firmware update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to update your controller.
