    Xbox elite 2 controller stopped working on PC after update


    Hi,
    So I have a new elite 2 controller trying to connect to a windows 10 version 21H1. Yesterday it was working ok, but then I updated the software of this controller through Xbox one x console as I paired it with the console. Now I want to get back to PC and pair it via Bluetooth but although It looks correct in a bluetooth devices list:

    It's not recognized in a xbox app:

    Also, I lost the possibility to manage the controller from Xbox accessories app as I now when I launch that app with my controller plugged in via cable to PC I get an error that this app isn't yet supporting my controller? So what do I need to do in order to get my controller working back again?

    THis is not a isolated case. My elite 2 paddles also stopped working after a firmware update. I am on PC with Windows 11, don't have an xbox to revert the firmware. What must we do?

    Elite Series 2 Controller keeps "disconnecting"

    Thanks for the response. My PC is up to date and I have updated the controller via the Xbox Accessories app. I've plugged it into my PC and my Xbox, and have the same issue with both. The only common denominator is the cable itself, which came with my original elite controller from a couple years ago but the strange thing is the controller stays powered on even though the game stops registering input. On Xbox it'll actually say "Controller disconnected", on PC it just stops working.

    There was a new update released, can you try updating your Elite Series 2 controller again?

    I also have the Elite Series 2 controller and I do not run into these issues when using it with the PC.
