I have an Elite Series 2 controller. I've been trying to connect it to my Windows 7 desktop with no luck. When I try to discover it, it shows up quickly, but it will not connect. I tried connecting it to my Windows 10 laptop using the same steps, and it
    worked immediately.

I even tried plugging in a regular Xbox One controller via USB so that it would show up in Windows Updates. I updated that driver, but it still doesn't help the Elite controller to actually connect via bluetooth.

I have a brand new bluetooth receiver and its driver is up-to-date.

    :)
