    I just bought this controller, charged it fully, then turned it on and synced to my PC (Bluetooth built-in to my mobo). Everything seemed fine and I was able to get into a game of GTA V just to test out some driving. I was noticing some very strange hard-stutters in gameplay, and after a couple stutters the controller stopped responding. I tried to remove/resync the Bluetooth to no avail. I looked up possible software options and found Xbox Accessories, so I got that installed.

    This is where it gets weird. The software says 'This controller is connected via Bluetooth. Connect with a USB cable to configure it". Seems reasonable, so I connect it via USB and am prompted to install a firmware update for the controller. Perfect! This has to be the fix. I update and move to the 'Test Mode' feature, and the controller is registering the buttons being pressed as expected. Go back, disconnect USB, re-sync via Bluetooth, and software says the same "This controller is connected via Bluetooth.." as before. Awesome. Go back into 'Test Mode' in the software.. no buttons are registering. No amount of reconnecting the Bluetooth, turning the controller off/on, etc is resulting in 'Button Pressed:' prompts in the software (nor does it work in any games).

    The controller pairs just fine, however it's not actually sending any control signals in Bluetooth mode. Any ideas?

    Did you even read my post? As stated multiple times in the original post, I'm not having trouble with the device pairing. My problem revolves around the controller not actually sending commands when in Bluetooth mode, as illustrated through the "Test Mode" for the Xbox Accessories software.

    So far, this "Microsoft support" is dropping the ball. Anyone want to try a second time before I just return your $175 junk controller and buy a Sony one instead?

    the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

    Make sure you are using a V2 controller.

    The first generation of Xbox One controllers (including the Elite) don't have bluetooth and need an additional wireless receiver to work with Windows 10.
