Xbox Elite 2 Controller has multi-directional stick drift on right thumbstick

My Xbox Elite controller 2. I've only had used my controller for the last 4 days, and noticed the right thumbstick to be a bit wobbly while playing call of duty modern warfare. This issue cause stick drift to occur. My stick tension is on high as that
helps me aim better, however, the higher tension still has slight movement that can deviate slightly from where the centre position of the analog stick should be. It's taken me over a day to figure out that by setting a deadzone setting in call of duty that
it seems to have resolved the issue slightly, however, it makes playing the game much more difficult.

Does microsoft have a fix for this issue or should I go ahead and get a replacement/refund.

As far as I'm aware, there's no update fix when it comes to stick drift, so if your controller is currently under warranty with either Xbox or the store you purchased it from, I'd suggest getting started on the refund/replacement process if at all possible.

It always sucks when it happens to any controller, when it happens to a new controller, and an Elite at all, it's extra frustrating. Fingers crossed you can get it replaced with one that works correctly.

my 1st elite: crash gumi grips. send back to service, but i buy a new one for this 2 week. Try this new: right stick drift to right...

ok, my 1st elite came back, try this. left stick drift to right (fresh new controller from ms service)

ok i sent back this 2 broken Elites.

1-2 week done, get 2 new fresh Elites... tested... both new Elite's (my 3rd and 4th) left sticks drift to right...

my last 5 Elites broken, 3 fresh from Xbox Support. Thats a big joke.

The problem is not just the on elite 2 controllers its a issue with all controllers that use the PDP program because i have 3 afterglow controllers that have problems with joy stick drift i also have 2 power A controllers that have problems with joy stick
drift as well and my brother has an elite 2 series controller that also has the same problem

Ive had this issue a few times,

It is due to wear on the controller, like with me mine drifted due to me being heavy-handed and clumsy so dropping the controller it has caused a drift in my right thumbstick, but both sticks are connected together on the motherboard on the controller and
this is why it affects your typing on the Xbox keypad/ keyboard.

I have two original elite controllers and one pf the new elite 2 controllers that I got my son for Christmas. They all have drift issues with the left sticks. I hd thought it would be addressed with the new version, but I guess not. Please help
make this right.

Unfortunately, stick drift seems all too common in this current generation on Xbox, on PS4, and even on Switch. I wonder if it's because so many games use the sticks at buttons as well, which is leading to extra pressure being exerted? I've lost many controllers
to stick drift, and looking at the forums and reddit, a lot of people are complaining about stick drift issues from day one with the Elite series 2. Fingers crossed that Xbox can address the issue for everybody affected by it.
