Xbox elite 2 connection to pc issues

Hey all,

I need your help with an issue that I have, I recently got the Xbox Elite 2 controller for my PC, I update to controller and my PC.

I currently own ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-E GAMING witch have Bluetooth 5.0, and when I connect my Elite2 to the PC it have trouble to reconnect and its looking like I can only play with the controller on wire mode.

Plus when it connected its look like to move on its own in the game, plus its moving in delay, and when I restart my controller or PC it have a hard time to reconnect to my PC.

My elite 2 when connected to PC via bluetooth loses connection and I am also experiencing sudden frame rate drops which I do not see when playing it with wired or keyboard or mouse. I did not had any issues with Elite 1 which connected via a usb
dongle. I updated the controller and the bluetooth feature is broken. Anyone got it to work on PC via bluetooth without any issues?

exactly the same issue here, have no problem with using my xbox one s controller on PC, but lots of disconnections and frame rate drops with elite 2

Sorry to hear you are having trouble connecting your Elite Series 2 controller to your PC.

Do you have an Xbox console as well? Did you update your controller via the Xbox console? The latest Xbox controller firmware update may affect Bluetooth connectivity and performance with some non-Xbox devices. If your controller is having Bluetooth-related issues after a firmware update, you can choose to revert your controller to an earlier firmware version to correct the problem. Can I use a usb2.0 type-c to usb-A cable to connect my elite 2 controller to the console?

Of course! Without any issue, will work either on Xbox and PC.

The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

Have you by any chance attempted to connect the controller directly to the PC through a wired connection?

As well, you have mentioned that the controller that came with the Xbox One console is recognized on the PC, but that the elite controller is not recognized at all on the PC. This same elite controller, does it have any issues with connecting to the Xbox
One console?
