  1. Xbox ejects discs after updating the console?

I'm having an issue where my Xbox One X would sometimes eject discs after I turn it on. When it ejects the disc the console won't let me insert it back in until I press the eject button 1 or 2 times where I hear two different 'ding' tones. The first one suggests it still think the disc is in there and the second say there's no disc in there.

It doesn't happen every time I turn the console on, only sometimes. The Xbox updated to the last Alpha Skip Ahead build while I had the console off and it's ejected my disc of Ori and the Will of the Wisps. So now I'm questioning if the updates are doing something to cause the issue. I'm just confused on why it's doing this.

Xbox one disc drive entry is blocked

    Hi

Can you first please try pressing the eject button on the console just to make sure there are no discs in the console, after doing this can you please try following the

    manually eject disc
support steps to ensure you have no game disc in the console.

    XBOX 360 update error 4488-0000-3080-0508-D000-016B

    Hello Fellow gamer,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend trying these steps to see if able to install the update.

You can resolve this issue by retrying the update after ejecting the disc tray and pushing it back in halfway. Here’s how:

    1. Eject the disc tray and remove any disc from the console.

Important Do not close the disc tray. Leave it open.
    2. With the disc tray open, remove the power cord from the back of the console.
    3. Gently push the disc tray about halfway back into the console.
    4. Plug the power cord back into the console.
    5. Push the power button on the console. The tray should close the rest of the way, and then the console should restart and display the Xbox Dashboard.

Important Do not use the controller button or the disc tray eject button to turn on the console for this step.
    6. Try updating your console software again.
Try this and let us know.

    Brad

    Xbox one disc drive

If there is a disc inside, try to manually eject the disc, , follow these steps to do so, even if there is no disc, try the manual eject , https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/manually-eject-disc , after , see if any change.
If no change, try to go to SETTING, SYSTEM, CONSOLE INFO AND LAST CONSOLE RESET. pick option to KEEP ALL GAMES AND APPS. After console will restart, after restart , do the Set Up . See if any change

How to eject a "stuck" disc

    Hi

Can you please first try and carry out a console hard reset by holding the power button (Xbox logo) on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds. Once the console has shut down please wait for 1 minute and then restart the console. Once the console starts
please try to eject the disc again.

If you are still unable to eject the disc afterwards please see the guide
    here
that will guide how to eject the disc manually.

Please be aware if you are still not able to eject the disc after this you may need to send the console for repair by clicking
    this link.

    Xbox wont eject disc

    Hey there Aleph,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Forums. You should be able to manually eject the disc if it is in the consoles disc bay. Go ahead and follow the steps on the following support article to eject the disc.

Manually eject a disc from Xbox One

If no disc comes out then it is either not being done correctly or there is no disc in the console.

Give it a try and let us know if this has helped.
