    Did i get the correct av cable?

    i got a xbox 360 E console model 1538, and i need a AV cable , i got this one Gtopin Xbox 360 E AV Cable is not the right one since it doesnt seem to fit? which is the correct cable i would need.

    Getting surround sound to work with xbox 360e

    Make sure the AV plug is fully inserted on the Xbox 360 E. A loose connection can cause only one channel to come through.

    .

    Also, are you using the AV cable that was included with the Xbox 360 E for sound, or a separately bought, audio only cable?

    XBox 360 E and component video? digital audio?

    joeunc: The stereo cable works but you lose surround sound. You could buy a HDMI audio splitter, or, some HDMI switches include a TOSLINK audio out. Try monopriceDOTcom.

    Mythic: Xbox 360e has neither. The E dropped the AV cable that had been there since the 1st Xbox 360. I would have gotten a slim but the $99 E's on black Friday were too good to pass up.

    I understand you need help on connecting AV cables to your console.

    Just a heads up, the AV cables are only for older models of the Xbox console like the original Xbox systems. The Xbox 360 e does not have that ports anymore as it only uses HDMI cables.

    I would suggest buying any HDMI cable, that would definitely work on your Xbox 360 e console.

    You can try ordering one from
    https://myservice.xbox.com     or try to contact xbox technical support.

    They should be able to send you a replacement within 10 business days.
