    Xbox DVR on PC not recording audio


    Hey forums. When I try to record a video game (World of Warcraft or osu!) there is no audio recorded. The audio is working 100% through my headphones and I'd like to record the music from my games.

    I set microphone array (realtek) to the default device through trouble shooting and tried using the "backround recording" feature, to no avail.

    No sound recorded in XBOX GAME DVR videos in Windows 10

    I have 2 XBOX ONEs and neither of them are recording audio with Game DVR in Windows 10 when streaming via XBOX App.

    They both have the NXOE update. Video records just fine.I recorded a number of videos from Xbox App a month ago with audio but now it's not working.

    PC - Alienware Aurora R4. OS Windows 10.

    On your Xbox App, go to Settings, and near the bottom under Audio make sure that is turned on with whatever quality level you want.

    Sorry to hear about the DVR issue! Just to clarify, are you experiencing the DVR recording clips out of sync or with no audio? If it is with no audio, this is a different issue than what is described in this thread. If you are experiencing the DVR recording

    DVR not recording sound

    IF the game plays audio fine, and you then start the DVR recording then you should record audio fine. This is not the case since they did that 1404 update.

    I found that if you did a reset the DVR was recording audio again.

    Power down the machine. Unplug the power from the back till the power block light

    changes to orange. Plus back in, and reboot. It worked for me.
