    xbox downloads and freezes.


    I have an issue that has been occuring for 2 months. Everytime i try to download or update a game it doesnt let me open any thing while its downloading. The download freezes and then it wont let me cancel or pause it, then if i try to open my games and apps or even settings it just buffers. The only way to stop it is to restart my xbox , but everytime i try to restart it, it gives me a black screen and i have to manually unplug the xbox reseting the whole cycle. Normally i would just deal with it and not play anything while it download but recently it just hasn't let me download anything anyways . At first i thought it was a wifi issue but ive checked and it isnt. Can anyone help me?

    hi. it might not be your Xbox and might just be Skyrim itself since Skyrim is such a large game it will freeze your xbox, it happens to a lot of people. try download Skyrim to your hard drive that might help it but like I said it happens a lot of people,
    download it to your hard drive it should clean up to freezing but occasionally it will freeze every now and then but it will rarely freeze. or just stop playing Skyrim it seems like Its is really the cause to your freezing on your xbox.

    Mister Darcy, the steps I've gone through are as follows. Went to Xbox marketplace, games, add ons, search by name, "B", borderlands. Entered the extras menu, see all, underdome. Purchased Underdome DLC and started download. The download started fine but
    at 4% complete my system freezes. After a manual power off and turning my system back on the system automatically begins the download again. Again my system freezes at the 4% mark. To keep the freeze from occurring I have to hurriedly access active downloads
    as soon as my system powers back up and cancel all active downloads. Other DLC (even larger files) have since downloaded without issue. I've attempted all the "support.xbox.com/.../screen-freeze-solution"s
    but none of these steps have allowed me to download the Underdome DLC.

    What bothers me the most is that the XBOX actually freezes at the "download app update" screen at the game, when it didn't freeze on the others.
