Xbox download/upload/connection speed slower than my internet package

the speed for downloading is determined by a few things.

1. Upload speed on the server side. Which should be fine since your friend can download them quickly

2. Your internet connections specifications. If you have a slower internet package, your maximum download speed will be the cause of the 'slowness'. In order to solve this you will need to contact your ISP or even switch ISP. Be aware that faster packages
are probably more expensive

3. Your network hardware, if your network hardware is old, it might be too slow to handle higher speeds.

If you are currently connected wireless, you could try connecting via a cable to see if that helps. Otherwise I do suggest trying to find out what your maximum internet download/upload speed is.

I have recently moved to the UAE and brought a WiFi package which allows me to have a 250mbs download speed and 50mbs upload speed which I am achieving, however I am having an issue my latency on the Xbox which is 133ms which is affecting my overall experience
and slow match making.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You are trying to download a Game on Demand which does take up a few GB meaning it will take a while to download. Also the slower your connection is, the longer it will take to download. Make sure no other devices are downloading or uploading something to
the Internet as this will slow down your connection. If you would like to speed up your connection you may need to contact your ISP and get a upgrade.

Also you should look at this support page to help Improve your Xbox Live Speed:

You could also do a Speedtest:
http://www.speedtest.net/ If your speed is slower than what your meant to be receiving you should contact your ISP. (It wont be accurate while your are downloading/uploading something)

If your download speed is that far out of sync with your upload speed (typically download is faster than upload on consumer Internet connections) you may have some other issues. Are you on a wired or wireless connection?

Have check if your internet is working fine and is providing good enough speed for games to download or upload. If your using wireless connection you will have slower internet connection than using a wired connection.

To check your internet speed on console follow this steps:

Press the Menu button on the Xbox One controller.

Select Settings.

Select Network.

Select Detailed Network Statistics.

The results should appear in a few moments
