    I have a 1/2 gig internet connection. My router is a public Hotspot for xfinity ( 5 houses on my street, so no public traffic) but get a speed boost because of it.

    I average 650 mbps. Laptop speed test confirms, xbox speed test confirms, xbox networking confirms.

    I can watch 4k video like Netflix, Amazon, HBO, etc.. without a single hiccup. Multi-player and mmo runs smoothly.

    But the moment I try to download a game or update the speed crashes to a crawl. Starts at 200-300mbps then goes all the way down to 500kbps - 10mbps. Every so often I'll actually get 200mbps downloads, but 90% of the time it's just a crawl.

    I've reset router, restart xbox, hard reset xbox, disable every other device on network. Nothing helps. Any suggestions?

    It seems that the download speed is locked on the Xbox's.

    Regardless of what my internet speed is the download speed never changes.

    downloads speeds have to do with your internet speed, not the xbox.

    New Xbox one S update not working.

    Tried multiple ways of downloading and power cycling everything, i have 80mbs download speed.
    Download speed isn't a factor at the moment. Like Onyx is Here said, more people are using xbox all at once which is straining their service. download speed still depends on how many using that service, even having a high download speed.
