xbox download speeds low...

i'm having a issue with download speeds on xbox one. all devices in my house get about 300+mbps but lately my xbox one is only getting between 3 and 20 mbps. i've seen it reach 300 before but now cant seem to hold a constant speed for gaming or streaming.
the xbox is on dmz so all network ports are open, also nat is open. is there a update that happened in the last month that messed with the xbox? any suggestions?

ps- no other devices bogging down the network.

Hi there! I'm going to agree with Shad0wmanUK, that if you're seeing it on multiple devices, it may be worth it to check with your ISP. Have you talked to them at all?

I had the same issue, switching from WiFi to Ethernet cable helped a bit, getting NAT to open fixed it the rest of the way. Dunno if you tried either of these or if they even apply to you.

Can you clarify how your Xbox One is connected to your network, is it wired or wireless? Since this began, have you tried resetting your network connection by unplugging network hardware for ~30 seconds and reconnecting it?

i have tried wired and wireless. same result. and yes i normally will unplug router, modem, and xbox (including power supply) for about 5 minutes.

Appreciate if you could post up the make and model of your router along with the make and model number of your modem,

as well as the model of your Xbox and its system version.

Also, Include the name of your ISP.

yes i have a xbox 360 connected but powered down.

When you say "download speeds", does it include download of DLCs as well?

Could you wire your console to your modem, and run a network diagnostic test, a few times, and have us know the DL/UL speed of your console.

yes i am refering to the up and down speeds of the console. that's all i am showing on the console itself. i am showing ipv4 and ipv6 under network status on the console.

after changing some settings my connection improved, it's not optimal but now it's acceptable to play and watch videos, thanks everyone.

Please disable both UPnP and DMZ as they interfere with the Port Forwarding, which is the fastest method of making sure the Port 3074 packets reach the Xbox quickly. For more background on Ports, see

Please also do a sequential power cycle abd clear the System Cache, the first steps in clearing connection problems. The order and timing of the steps is important to success:

1) turn off the Xbox and unplug its power supply at the back then

2) unplug power from the Motorola.

3) Wait at least 5 minutes then replug the Motorola power.

4) Wait 'til the light on the front of the Motorola which says ONLINE is on solid (not flashing), then plug in the Xbox and turn it on.

5) From the Home Page, tap the silver Xbox Guide button on the controller, go 2 clicks right to Settings, pick System Settings.

6) Select Storage (or Memory if Storage).

7) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

8) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.

If its possible, try connect your Xbox directly to your default gateway with an Ethernet cable, and let us know if you can connect properly.

If its the same on your PS3 is suggests an ISP issue, they could be throttling based on the type of traffic (gaming). To be honest if it isn't affecting you I wouldn't bother too much about it, if your gaming works ok it might just be a blip
