Xbox download not moving

So i have to update the new patch for modern warfare and so i started it. It was all going well and then finally when it hit 5% nothing happend. It just froze, it says its downloading but nothing happening. This has happened several times before and yiu
woukd think the xbox team would fix this by now. I know its not due to my internet. Seriously fix this xbox, you have a major issue here. How can i continue the update without reinstalling the whole game. I have restarted and i have done everything that is
recomended. I refuse to rejnstall. FIX THIS XBOX

Why do you say its not your internet? Maybe restart your router?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

this seems to be a widespread issue with this update and there is also a Live Status alert for CoD:MW

pause the update (don't cancel as that will uninstall the game) and keep checking the following link or click on the
Notify Me button to see when they have it fixed at their end then unpause the update.

download it to xbox then move it over if you dont have the room to download straight to drive move content until u can then swap it onced downloaded
