Xbox doesn’t show a picture after a restart.

I would follow the advice of fellow ambassador StuartATrueRed but I would also unhook all cords from the
the back of the xbox and make sure they are connected before starting the console again. If the issue still continues then you might want to unhook your external HDD if you have one and see if that fixes the problem.

If everything fails try this:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.



All that can be also initiated due to low internet speed or Server overload. I hope that all this will be behind us soon.

Try doing a reset of the console. That can usually fix issues like this. Select the option to keep your games and apps, and also make sure you remember your log in details, otherwise you will not be able to log back in.

After removing my account and adding it back on after a console restart the game still doesn’t show up in my library.

Just to clarify, "when it turns off to restart", do you mean after the Download and Verifying stages?

If so, when it restarts you should see the console Nexus button flash on and off about 15-20 times, then the screen will show no input before the console then restarts to complete the Applying stage.

If you interrupt the restart manually, the console may not of completed the shutdown correctly and will download, verify again, restart (shutdown/restart) and then complete the Applying stage.

I do several updates a month and the shutdown/restart stage is only a minute or so.

I time it by the Nexus flashes, usually 20.
