Xbox doesn't recognize Xbox One discs as Xbox One discs

I basically put in a game whether it be Dead Rising 3, FIFA 14, Madden 25, Forza 5, or Battlefield 4. When I do my Xbox One just tells me to insert a Xbox One disc. Sometimes it works if I keep trying. It's really frustrating though. Help.

Can't cancel or pause game update / Blank Screen

ALSO, just realized that my Xbox One doesn't recognize any discs. (this is when the screen wasn't blank)

xbox one disc drive problem

The xbox one won't recognize any of the discs that are put in.

I would follow this link:

However after all the steps are complete, I would Reboot the system entirely (5 seconds hold down power button on console, then let it reboot) then try it, and then I would also do a system restore

support.xbox.com/.../reset-console-to-factory-defaults, if that didn't then I would contact MS for a warranty issue as advised in the first link.

Now it's gotten worse. My Xbox One doesn't even recognize that the disc in it. SHEESH!!:-((

Thanks for reaching out here in Xbox Forums. I understand there is an issue with the Xbox One S not reading discs. I recommend to try the following article: How
to troubleshoot problems playing a disc on your Xbox One.

Try the following solutions on the article if none of your discs will play, or if you insert a disc and your console doesn't recognize it. If your Xbox Home screen tells you to insert a disc when a disc is already inserted, that means it doesn't recognize
your disc. In these scenarios, there are two possible issues:

The settings for instant-on power mode can render a small number of consoles unable to read discs.
The console's disc drive needs servicing.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

If your disc won't load or play on your Xbox One console, try the solutions on this page. 'How to troubleshoot problems playing a

If your disc loads but your console doesn't recognize it (the console tells you to insert a disc even though you already have), see the previous section,

Actually it doesn't. I have the classics version of mass effect which has the bring down the sky dlc on another disc, the Xbox one does not recognize this, as I haven't purchased it on the marketplace. I have tried the disc, but the Xbox one does not recognize
it. The Xbox marketplace may want you to buy it again, but I would post on the feedback site to get them to make the Xbox recognize games of the year editions and classic editions too.
