    There comes a time my friend when you just have to go buy a new one unless it is new then i would return for replacement.

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We would recommend you to get the console serviced. There should be no scraping noises, and this could damage your disks. You can try and set up a repair at

    device support    . However, if the console is out of warranty, we no longer service out of warranty original Xbox one consoles.

    Sorry to hear about the trouble with your console. Could possibly be the disk drive. Is it every game you've tried or just certain games that fail to load and make a grinding sound?

    Only one or every disc? Try to clean the discs but I'm afraid that is a hardware error.
