Xbox doesn't have a 1440p 60FPS option; can't use 1080p or 1440p HDR on xbox

Im unable to select 1440p 60fps on my xbox series X?

Also, it seems that Xbox defaults itself to 4k, 60fps, HDR, when you check the option, Allow 4k, and Allow HDR10; this is fine because we have an option to uncheck, Allow 4k.

However, when you uncheck, Allow 4k, 1080p 60FPS, 1080p 120FPS, and 1440p 120FPS, all no longer work with HDR; this is extremely inconvenient.

The only place I see it's supporting 1440 P on your display is when you're using VRR which likely isn't happening when you have a captured device hook up

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you're trying to enable HDR in either 1080p or 1400p. However, at this moment, HDR is only available in 4K resolution.

There are certain models of 1440p monitors that support "Console mode" wherein it will automatically downscale 4k HDR resolution to 1440p. You may want to check your monitor's manual for a chance that you have that similar feature.

I understand that this feature would be very useful not just to you but to all the Xbox users who want to experience HDR in 1440p. With this, I recommend that you submit it as a suggestion using the steps below for a chance to be implemented in the future:

1. Press and hold the Xbox button

2. Select Report a problem

3. Choose the most appropriate category and subcategory from each dropdown

I have a samsung QN90D 43in; I think it supports it.

Im trying to use an el gato with p010, but 1440p 60hz is the only option for p010

Try to plug in your Xbox directly to your TV and see if you'll be able to get 1440p at 60hz. Since you're using a capture card, I would strongly recommend that you contact the device manufacturer directly. In this way, your case will be logged, attended and monitored accordingly.
