Xbox doesn't even try to connect to party or game invites.

I've read through a number of other posts having this exact same issue yet there doesn't seem to be much in the way of a solution. I guess I'm just hoping that someone new sees this and has something to offer.

I see the invites pop up and hold the center button and nothing happens. and I mean nothing. It doesn't try to connect at all. Not to the party or the game. I've also tried going to the page where the invites show up (not sure of the technical name but the
one where achievements also show up) and launch from there an nothing happens. I've even tried going directly to the profiles of my friends and their join list is completely greyed out and not clickable.

Running through the official support pages says it could be a NAT problem with others in the party. Well I can say with complete confidence that NAT is not a problem. Every suggested test shows mine to be wide open and the party leader is running a dedicated
business line from his computer store. He even disbanded the party and tried inviting me first so we'd be the only two involved and nothing helped. And yes, I did the whole gateway and console restart multiple times.

So that brings me here. I'm hoping that someone, somewhere can give me an idea of where to go next. Sadly, nearly all of my Xbox enjoyment comes from playing online with friends and that's the one thing I can't do.

Can't connect to a persons party or send message

When I try to sent a party invite it doesn't say invite sent. Or when I try to join my party it just says cant connect To party. It doesn't even try To connect please help!

Friend not receiving invites nor can I connect to them - please help!

So I haven't checked to see if it's the same problem on any other games but me and my friend are having problems on Rainbow Six Siege. He invites me to a game but it will not let me connect to him at all. Then when I try to send him an invite to my game,
he tells me that he doesn't even receive an invite and I'm 100% positive that I am sending him one. Also, when we go to the party chat and click invite party to game nothing pops at all not even an invite sent notification. So now I need to know two things.
One - is it on his end or my end that has the problem. Two - is this an Internet/Xbox live problem or is it just a Rainbow Six Siege problem? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

your xbox runs best in power save mode ! If you run power save mode of your xbox and you start it another day - ALL Services start new and the xbox connects to ports an UPnP correctly.

If you have not done - set your xbox to power save mode - restart and check the next days if it gets better (it should !).

Be also sure that you run the latest Firmware for your router.

Thought this update would fix the perplexingly convoluted process of inviting friends to games and joining parties. Now I don't even have the opportunity to weave my way through that because, as of this update, the whole process is straight up broken. Inviting
a friend to your party doesn't work. Inviting them directly to the game doesn't work. I can't even get a party chat going to voice my frustration with the friends I'm trying to invite. At least I could do that before this update. Next gen should be an evolution,
not a devolution.

Similar issue here too. In fact, it's why I came looking for answers today. I get the invites but holding the button doesn't even try to connect. If I go directly to the invites via the main page I get the same thing...nothing. It doesn't even try to connect.
The lovely support pages suggest a NAT issue with other members of the party. Well, the guy starting the party is running a dedicated business internet from his computer repair store. I'm fairly certain his NAT is wide open. And according to every test I ran,
so is mine. But even when he invites me first, so we are the only two people trying to connect, it still does the same thing. This all started for me Saturday the 10th. The funny thing is that through all my digging, there was an entry on one of the pages
that said there was a console update applied earlier that day. Never had a problem with invites before that so I'm guessing they *** it up and have yet to fix it or to even admit they did it.

Am also having this issue since the update. Cannot join parties, cannot invite people to party i've started either. Error message, 'can't connect to xbox live party'. Can join game invite and can invite people to game without any issues. Will try the above
when I get home, fingers crossed.

Yeah there are a lot of issues with the Party and invite functionality that is borderline broken.

I was chatting in a party with a buddy yesterday who was playing Dead Rising 3, while I was playing Ryse, and having him in the party made it impossible for me to play Multiplayer at all.

It would just load up a game showing him in there with me, even though he doesn't have the game, but there was no way to just search for a game with a random. All it did was try to invite him.
