Xbox doesn't do anything after turning on (I have quick start up on)

If your console is an Xbox One or Series X|S, let's try a few things. Follow these steps:

1. Unplug your console from the wall for 30 seconds.

2. Connect it to wall again.

3. Turn it on.

5. Check if the issue has been resolved.

If that didn't work, check that your console's cables are all connected correctly, like the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI Out port on your console. Then, follow these steps:

1. If there's a disc in the Xbox console, eject it (only applies to Xbox One (S and X) and Series X).

2. Make sure the console is off.

3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject* button (check the note below if your console doesn't have the Eject button) until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later.

The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go from Power and Eject* ( or Pair, depending on your console) until the second beep occurs.

*Note: If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition or Xbox Series S, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console does not have an Eject button.

4. This should boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system, then Settings.

I am having the same issue. All my voice commands work but turning it on. I have it set for instant on, and turn on by voice. When I use the controller it boots up super quick and doesn't go through the whole green xbox screen or anything, My power
adapter light is white showing it is in instant on, not the yellow of powered off, just for some reason I can't get it to turn on by using "Xbox On".

So when I turn my xbox one on it does the usual green start up screen but after that it goes to a grey screen. When I hit the home button on my controller it doesn't immediately pull up the dash board but when I do it again it does but it doesn't let me
select anything. I tried powering the console off and unplugging it for a few minutes but it still doesn't work.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

This same issue is happening to me, i turned mine off and on and got to the home page but now it is not letting me play any game and says it needs an update

Hi, Zineb, thank you for trying to help but sadly, I have tried all the solutions you have given me and none of them work. My Xbox turns off before I can even reach the troubleshoot menu and even after doing a quick power cycle. Is there anything else I can try to do?

im starting to notice after the initial black screen no matter what i do next when i close out that game or try to start up a new one my xbox just turns off. Not only does that game not play, it messes with anything i try to do next...
