Xbox does not turn on via controller anymore.

Out of curiosity does it do it without the controller turned off? Just turning on the Xbox via the power button instead of the controller.

Does the Nexus button on the console work?

Have you run through the steps in this link,
Update the xbox wireless controller?

Do you have a passkey assigned to the controller?

Have you checked the batteries or rechargeable battery?

Try connecting controller with a plug/play charge kit uSB cable to the console.

If you have a passkey assigned and turn on via controller, the console should display passkey input screen.

If you turn on via console, the controller shouldn't turn on, even if it is connected via uSB.

using the controller via the cable,try holding in the snyc button while the controller is turned off,keep it pressed while turning on the controller then wait and see if it connects.dont let go of the snyc button until it does.

I followed the steps to a T, twice. In brief at the end, I disconnected the controller via usb, push the center button to turn the Xbox on and the controller's center button just flashes. The Xbox does nothing. At this point I manually turn it on, push sync
button, still nothing.

Unfortunuly that a problem in old models of 360 controls.

I know because i suffer that...

In the control in you encounter the juice try that last thing clean VERY WELL the contacts, whif a clean and dry cloth.

After that (i understand you use batteries right?)you have to go back to the past. (yes that what you think), you have to use back the "small" battery (like we call in brazil "pilha palito") in order to try fix that in new models of control that works and
make the controls back to work without fails, but in the old ones that´s a lottery hour works and hours only work whif control conected in usb only!!!
