    Xbox Does Not Turn on TV


    Several months ago, my Xbox stopped turning on/off my TV. I believe all my settings are correct. Xbox automatically knows my tv remote code. Any suggestions?

    Xbox Turn Off, doesn't power down equipment?

    I can power on with "Xbox On".

    It turns on my TV.

    But "Xbox Turn Off", "Yes", does not power off the TV. Should it? (does yours?)

    XBox One connecting to TCL TV

    My Xbox One and Kinect will not sync up with my TCL TV to control the "Xbox On" and "Xbox Turn off" feature. It does not find the proper model number to correctly sync. The only thing I found that comes close is a Vizio model but it only control the volume
    on my TV and still does not turn the TV on or off. Is there a way to find the correct model number so my voice commands with the kinect will turn the TV on and off as well?

    So I just learned that my kinnect needs to be plugged in. But it is not working. is there another way to do this?

    Hi, if it is an Original Xbox One you would need an IR blaster, like the one built into kinect. If it is an S or X the IR blaster is built in.

    Hey Z_A_S

    Make sure your console is set to Instant On in order to turn on your TV and Cable box with the console.

    you may have already done this, but just double check your settings, if it all looks good, and isn't working, try

    power cycling    your console.

    Hopefully you get it sorted out soon.

    you may have already done this, but just double check your settings, if it all looks good, and isn't working, try

    power cycling    your console.

    Hopefully you get it sorted out soon.
