  1. Xbox does not stay connected

I just moved a couple days ago, my new Comcast internet works great with everything...but my Xbox. My gateway is the Cisco DCP3939 (XB3). I have gone through all the theoretical steps to make my connection work: creating a static IP, opening the necessary
ports, making sure my WiFi signal is as uninterrupted as possible. Nothing has helped.

I can be connected to Live, and then I will just abruptly lose connection despite the connection tests saying there are no problems. Even when I am connected to Live, I am unable to connect to most game servers (with the exception of Rocket League). My
detailed network statistics are as follows:

    Download: 37 Mbps

    Upload: 24 Mbps

    Packet Loss: 0%

    MTU: 1480

    Latency: 87 ms

    Wireless Strength: 100%

NAT: Open (behind a Cone NAT)

    Status Code: 0x1040000002000060

I have tried hard resets, full power cycles, clearing the cache, clearing persistent data, clearing the MAC address, removing my profile.

**Last night when I disconnected, I did get the DHCP error**

Any help with this would be so very much appreciated. Thanks!

    :)

Xbox will not stay connected to

My Xbox One will randomly disconnect from the internet while in the middle of a game, I spoke with support and they said it was because my Universal plug-and-play on my router was not set up. I follow the steps to set it up on my router got back onto my
console and now the problem seems even worse, any suggestions?

That cisco has "known issues" for that very problem , you could take the xbox to a friends house and test it to be sure...I copied some of the posts below , didn't see any resolved ....

Since last week, I have been having issues with this specific Modem/Gateway. The constant random "disconnect from Xbox live" that seems to have taken place with other Comcast products in the past. I have tried literally everything suggested more than once
with no lasting success, including Port Forwarding, DMZ, UPnP is on, MoCA is off, hardwired connection, deleting/downloading profile, looking for corrupted data, reset modem to factory settings, reset Xbox Network settings to factory, ad infinitum. Xbox Live
support suggested that it was probably a problem with my Xbox and to send it in for repair since none of these have solved the issue. I took my Xbox to another house and ran it Wireless off a DSL connection for a few hours straight with absolutely no issues.
Comcast has no answers, Xbox Live has no answers. Every other connected device can stream video, etc with no interruptions, it just seems Xbox live and this Gateway/Modem are not playing well together with no solution in sight. Gets pretty frustrating when
you disconnect a couple sword swings away from taking down Crota on HM as the swordbearer, then everyone is *** at you like you did something wrong...

I recently (just before X-mas) switched over to Comcast business (Tier 10up/25down) and they set up this router DPC3939B and I've had random disconnects...very intermittent...could be 5 min. or could be 20 min. before disconnect from Xbox live.

I just had the Comcast technician come out and explained to him my issue and he seems to believe it's an issue between Xbox 360s and Microsoft (possibly update related). Technician checked the line connection (at wall and bldg.) and reports there are no
issues with line. All reports great.

I'm connected directly to the router just as the desktop. Have absolutely no issues with the desktop or any of my other devices (Xoom and cell phone) that are connected via wireless. WTF!

I've checked settings within router...nadda. I've power cycled Xbox and router...nadda. I've made sure ports are open, NAT off, Firewall off etc...Nadda.

  5. you could try it wired , and I did read one guy said he restored the gateway to factory defaults and fixed it for a while , another said he changed the wireless channel with some success...

  6. I appreciate your suggestions.

I seem to have it holding a connection (for the time being), but now I cannot connect to game servers (despite open ports). It's just very odd.

  7. LOTS and LOTS of isp issued gateways share that problem , they just don't handle the traffic well for whatever reason ... I had this same problem a few years back , turned in my gateway (10 bucks a month , 120 bucks a year) and bought my own modem and
a netgear router and haven't had a single issue since ...and it was cheaper in the long run...
