    Xbox does not allow me to change resolution from 640x480 to anything higher


    Can someone please help me, i havent been able to get out of low resolution mode on my xbox one s, i have tried everything, whenever i change my overrides to hdmi and then change the res the screen goes blank for 15 seconds then goes back to low res, i tried
    leaving it unplugged for 1 hour but no results

    Hey there Hoodalfardan

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get your console to adjust it's display settings to something preferable. I can totally see how being forced to deal with a lower resolution could be pretty frustrating. If the troubleshooting
    steps previously posted did not help with this problem, then it would seem like the console may be in need of repair.

    If you are interested in getting your console repaired by Microsoft/Xbox, you can always create a repair order at

    device support     or contact
    customer support     so that an agent can help outline all your service options.
