Xbox disconnects from live and controller randomly

my Xbox one will often, during a online game will disconnect with my wireless controller and then promptly disconnect from Xbox live, ending any online game. I am then normally able to reconnect to Xbox live straight away. The problem is not with my internet
connection and appears to be a issue with the console, I have called Xbox support but they were unable to help, just wondering if anyone had any ideas? Cheers

Random Xbox live disconnection

my controller randomly disconnects any game I’m playing crashes and I get disconnected from Xbox live briefly then it’ll reconnect by itself and if I am in a party I will get kicked from there too

Definitely sounds like the wireless hardware of the console is having issues. Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test
the results. If that doesn't work you should go ahead and set it up for repair. Contact Us | Xbox Support

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. Do you have your console plugged into a surge protector, or directly into the wall? I have see cases of these types of issues coming from the console not receiving enough power. This usually happens because of
the outlet it is plugged into.
