Xbox Disconnects every 15-30 min

Every 15-30 minutes, my Xbox 360 will disconnect from live and then I can instantly sign in again after. I can play Xbox One just fine but for some reason the 360 is disconnecting frequently. My internet doesn't go down when live disconnects.

XBOX X Disconnects every 20/30 mins

Every 20/30 mins Xbox X disconnects from live resulting in being kicked from game and party. My old Xbox never done this and internet is working fine. Is this common on the Xbox X?

try putting 8.8.8.8 as default dns and 8.8.4.4 as alternative that will connect through google to live and might work but I can't promise anything if it doesn't work just ask for a new DNS I will try to help (this happened to my xbox one phat and its kept
working!)

Assign a new IP address with higher number to Xbox. I changed mine from xx.xx.xx.4 to xx.xx.xx.44 and haven't had a problem since. Think of IP address as intersections, .2-.10 as one .11-.20 another and so on. Your router/modem automatically assigns the
lowest numbers in order as devises are added, wired and wireless. All traffic is trying to get through that first intersection to all your devices and clogging it up, hence your disconnects. There is little to no traffic at the higher IP addresses, or intersections,
so your XBL connection speeds right through.

 

@Nerdyrebel21 - Think of this instead! Always assign a static IP for a machine, outside of the dynamic range of the DHCP server.

 

@Nerdyrebel21 - This is not how the TCP/IP protocol works. The IP address your device receives has no bearing on how traffic on your subnet is routed to it. The only way this could even remotely be an issue is if your device had to go through one or more
other routers in order to reach the internet, and one of those routers was having issues, which is highly unlikely in a home environment.
